Hadids marvel of Marseille

Building Design

Zaha Hadid has won a commission to design her first major corporate headquarters. Hadid will design a 100m-high office tower for shipping company CMA-CGM in Marseille, France. The project was developed in conjunction with Marseille urban renewal agency Euromediterrane and is the first time the agency has worked with a big-name architect. The group consulted French architect Christian de Portzamparc, designer of the Credit Lyonnais tower in Lille, and Norman Foster before appointing Hadid. The 25-storey tower includes 55,000sq m of office space.
